Gavin started his career selling high end sunglasses and watches at Gatwick Airports north terminal airside store, where he quickly learned that he wanted to pursue a career in sales and marketing. He moved on to join the Daily Mail group, where he was responsible for the classifieds of two regional editions of a national publication. From here Gavin went on to join Reed Business Information, working on several of their products, as well as heading up their Kemps International division.

In 2004, after enjoying the element of international trading, as well as missing the buzz of the airport, Gavin decided to take a gamble on a small independent company called ‘Interactive Recruitment and Training’, working specifically on a growing job board ‘Aviation Job Search’. Over the years Gavin has seen ‘Aviation Job Search’ grow into the market leading niche job board for the aviation industry, with a candidate database and client portfolio larger than any other in the industry. In 2005 the company was bought by Friday Ad Limited, and joined the already successful Simply Jobs Group, joining their portfolio of market leading niche job boards.

Gavin looks forward to seeing Aviation Job Search continue on its path as the number one website for aviation recruitment, and will endeavour to grow it into new areas of aviation, to ensure the continued improvement of an already great service.

Outside of work Gavin spends time with his family and socialises with his friends/colleagues. He has a passion for cars and films, and enjoys keeping fit in his spare time.
